Simple Shakshuka

2 tbsp olive oil
3 garlic cloves, crushed
1 yellow pepper, diced
1 can chopped tomatoes
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
salt and pepper
3 eggs


  1. Heat pan to medium heat
  2. Sauté garlic and peppers till soft.
  3. Add in tomatoes and spices. Mix and heat through till reduced into more of a paste.
  4. Make 3 wells and pour in the eggs.
  5. Cover and cook on low for approximately 5 minutes, until the white of the egg has cooked and the yolk is still runny.

💡Tip – Make sure the eggs are slightly underdone when serving as they will continue to cook when taking off the heat.
