3 tbsp olive oil
1 onion finely diced (1/2 package ready diced)
2 carrots finely diced (1/2 package ready diced)
1 sweet potato finely diced (1/2 package ready diced)
3 stalks celery finely diced
250g beef strips
500g fresh mushrooms, diced
1 tbsp tomato paste
1/2 cup barley, rinsed
6 cups boiling water
2 tbsp chicken powder
1/2 tsp tumeric
Salt and pepper
Saute onions, carrots, sweet potato and celery in the olive until soft, turn the heat up and add in the meat to brown.
When meat has browned add in the mushrooms and tomato paste, mix to combine.
Add in the rest of the ingredients and cook on low for 2 hours.
