3 tbsp olive oilâ
1 onion finely diced (1/2 package ready diced)â
2 carrots finely diced (1/2 package ready diced)â
1 sweet potato finely diced (1/2 package ready diced)â
3 stalks celery finely dicedâ
250g beef stripsâ
500g fresh mushrooms, diced
1 tbsp tomato pasteâ
1/2 cup barley, rinsedâ
6 cups boiling waterâ
2 tbsp chicken powderâ â
1/2 tsp tumericâ
â Salt and pepper
Garlic powder
Saute onions, carrots, sweet potato and celery in the olive until soft, turn the heat up and add in the meat to brown.â â
When meat has browned add in the mushrooms and tomato paste, mix to combine.â â
Add in the rest of the ingredients and cook on low for 2 hours.â â
