6 large onions or 3 packets, diced
1 tbsp salt
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp sugar
6 cups boiling water
Grated Emmental cheese – for serving
Fry onions in oil until soft and translucent, keep stirring so they don’t burn
Add in the rest of the ingredients and mix well.
Pour in water, mix and simmer for 40 mins
Serve topped with cheese.
