Cheese Burekas

1 cup grated mozzarella
1/2 cup grated cheddar
1/4 cup soft cheese/feta/ricotta
1 egg
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried parsley/thyme
sprinkle of pepper
Half roll of puff pastry cut into 15 small squares or 6 big


  1. In a bowl mix all the ingredients apart from the pastry
  2. Place a tablespoon of mixture in the centre of each pastry square, wet edges with a little water and fold over to create a triangle.
  3. Using a fork seal edges.
  4. Transfer to greaseproof paper lined tray.
  5. Brush with beaten egg. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, zatar or whatever you like.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven on 180°C/350F for 20-25 minutes.
