Caesar Salad

Ingredients

2 heads of romaine lettuce
3 slices of bread
3 tbsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic crushed
Salt and pepper
Parmesan shavings

Dressing

¼ cup mayonnaise
3 tbsp sour cream
1-2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp olive oil
4 tsp lemon juice
2 tsp mustard
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Salt and Pepper to taste

Method

  1. To make the croutons, preheat oven to 180 C. Cut sliced bread into bite size pieces, place on a baking tray and brush with olive oil mixed with the garlic, salt and pepper on both sides. Bake for 5 – 10 minutes until crispy. Set aside to cool.
  2. To assemble salad, roughly chop lettuce, top with the croutons and parmesan shavings. Blend all salad dressing ingredients together and drizzle on salad to desired amount.
