Orange & Almond Cake

2 large oranges |
6 eggs |
1 3/4 cups ground almonds |
3/4 cups sugar |
1 tsp baking powder |
Icing sugar and slivered almonds for decorations |
1. Wash and boil oranges in water for 2 hours.
2. Cool and remove pips.
3. Pulse the oranges including the peel in blender.
4. Beat eggs then add in the almonds, sugar, baking powder and oranges.
5. Pour in into a 9 inch round tin.
6. Bake at 200C until cooked
7. Once cooked decorate with slivered almonds and icing sugar.
