Meat and Barley

3 tbsp olive oil⁠
1 onion finely diced (1/2 package ready diced)⁠
2 carrots finely diced (1/2 package ready diced)⁠
1 sweet potato finely diced (1/2 package ready diced)⁠
3 stalks celery finely diced⁠
250g beef strips⁠
500g fresh mushrooms, diced
1 tbsp tomato paste⁠
1/2 cup barley, rinsed⁠
6 cups boiling water⁠
2 tbsp chicken powder⁠⁠
 1/2 tsp tumeric⁠
⁠ Salt and pepper
Garlic powder


1. Saute onions, carrots, sweet potato and celery in the olive until soft, turn the heat up and add in the meat to brown.⁠ ⁠

2. When meat has browned add in the mushrooms and tomato paste, mix to combine.⁠ ⁠

3. Add in the rest of the ingredients and cook on low for 2 hours.⁠ ⁠
