One Bowl Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

2 1/4 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
1 tsp bicarbonate soda
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
3/4 cup oil
1 1/2 cups boiling water mixed with 2 tsp coffee
3 eggs

Method

  1. Pre heat oven to 180 C⁠ ⁠
  2. Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl, add in the oil and hot water, mix until smooth, stir in 1 egg at a time.⁠ ⁠
  3. Pour into 9×13 cake tin or 24 cupcake cases⁠
  4. ⁠Bake cake for 40 mins or cupcakes for 15mins⁠

💡Tip – To serve this on Friday night, ensure the meat has cooled down completely to room temperature. Then place slightly raised on the hot plate just before Shabbos. The meat will heat up nicely and will not over cook! Heat the glaze up separately.
